Namhae-gun Holds Price Countermeasures Committee Meeting and Approves Village Bus Fare Increase Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam held the '2023 Namhae-gun Price Countermeasure Committee'.

Accordingly, starting from March, when the related administrative procedures are completed, bus fares will be set at 1,000 KRW for adults and 500 KRW for youth and children, regardless of distance.

The fare for the Bokgok Village bus will be increased. Due to the operator’s accumulated deficits and poor financial conditions causing disruptions in village bus operations, the agenda to raise fares from the original 1,250 KRW to 1,700 KRW for adults and 1,400 KRW for students was unanimously approved by all committee members.

Governor Jang Chung-nam stated, “Recently, the domestic and international rise in public utility charges and prices has caused significant difficulties for the working-class economy. During these challenging times, we will make our best efforts to alleviate the financial burden on residents by restraining public fare increases as much as possible.”

The agenda items reviewed on this day are scheduled to be implemented from March after administrative procedures and public notifications.
