Dong-Eui Science University Faculty and Staff Volunteer Group Conducts 'Sharing Love with Briquettes' Volunteer Activity

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The faculty and staff volunteer group of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology carried out a 'Love Briquette Sharing Volunteer Activity' in the Munhyeon 1-dong area of Nam-gu on the 28th.

This volunteer activity was organized to help energy-vulnerable groups such as elderly living alone and low-income households who use briquette heating during winter to have a warm winter.

The faculty and staff volunteer group of Dong-Eui University of Science is taking a group commemorative photo during the 'Sharing Love Briquette Volunteer Activity'.

About 20 faculty and staff members of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology visited 15 households in the Munhyeon 1-dong area living in alleys inaccessible by vehicles, delivering 2,000 briquettes and sharing warmth.

President Kim Young-do said, "With the recent significant drop in temperature, I hope this helps the local elderly who are struggling with heating costs during winter to have a warm winter."

Since its launch in 2008, the DIT faculty and staff volunteer group has been conducting various social contribution activities such as supporting meal services, kimchi-making, and briquette sharing every month based on funds deducted from faculty and staff salaries and donations to assist low-income groups and elderly people in welfare blind spots.
