According to Jeju Maritime Police Station on the 30th, the new Chief Lee Sang-in listened to a briefing on the maritime security situation in the situation room without a separate inauguration event, visited the Jeju Maritime Police rescue team, inspected the response system and facilities for maritime accidents, and encouraged the police officers working on site through communication.
In his inauguration greeting, Chief Lee Sang-in said, “Based on strong field affinity and professional spirit of doing our best in assigned tasks, let us work together to protect maritime sovereignty and the rights and interests of the people,” adding, “Through communication and harmony, we will take the lead in creating a safe and clean sea.”
Meanwhile, the new Chief Lee Sang-in of Jeju Maritime Police Station entered public service in 2001 as the 49th class of executive candidates and has held key positions such as Director of the Situation Room at the Korea Coast Guard, Director of Maritime Safety Division, Director of Security Division at the West Sea Regional Maritime Police Agency, Administrative Officer at the Presidential National Security Office, Chief of Pyeongtaek Maritime Police Station, and Spokesperson of the Korea Coast Guard.
