[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Exergy21 is showing strong performance. It is interpreted as being recognized as an alternative to the winter heating cost crisis caused by record-breaking cold waves and soaring gas prices this winter.
As of 10:58 AM on the 30th, Exergy21 is trading at 2,025 KRW, up 11.54% compared to the previous trading day.
Exergy21 developed the air-movable heating and cooling system 'Exergy21'. ‘Exergy21’ is an eco-friendly heating and cooling device that utilizes sensible and latent heat from the atmosphere instead of fossil fuels. It can operate regardless of day and night or seasonal changes, and is also effective in cost reduction.
Previously, Exergy21 was installed in mixed-use buildings, golf courses, large marts, and large-scale smart farms in Gimje, Busan, and other locations, verifying its fuel cost reduction effect. According to operational references, heating and cooling costs were reduced by approximately 54~85% compared to conventional fossil fuels after installing Exergy21.
According to the Korea City Gas Association, as of December last year, the wholesale gas price for commercial heating was 34.69 KRW per MJ (megajoule), a sharp increase of 57.6% compared to the previous year. The commercial heating rate refers to the gas fee used for heating purposes in buildings other than residential ones.
During the same period, the residential city gas rate rose 38.5% year-on-year to 19.69 KRW per Mcal (megacalorie). Hot water and heating fees (heat usage fees), which are linked to city gas rates, increased by 37.8% to 89.88 KRW per Mcal during the same period.
Meanwhile, heat pumps are eco-friendly heat production systems that convert natural energy sources into usable energy. Since they do not require combustion processes caused by fossil fuel use, they are environmentally friendly and have advantages such as no risk of fire or explosion. In addition, heating efficiency is about three times higher than gas boilers, attracting attention from advanced countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Poland.
