"Expanding Industrial Base by Nurturing Future Semiconductor Talent"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] SK Hynix is launching online and offline educational programs for high school students to nurture future semiconductor talent.
On the 30th, SK Hynix announced that it will promote the 'Semiconductor hy-School' to cultivate future semiconductor personnel. The Semiconductor hy-School is a program that offers YouTube video content to help high school students easily learn semiconductor knowledge. An offline event supporting outstanding learners with semiconductor industry field experiences will also be held.
SK Hynix will release a total of 10 Semiconductor hy-School video contents on YouTube. The first episode was released on the 18th. Over the next five weeks, two videos will be added each week. The videos cover educational topics that help students understand the semiconductor market, product types, manufacturing processes, and more. It is characterized by linking with high school math and science curricula and content.

Offline, students can participate in the 'Campus Tour Program' visiting SK Hynix and the 'Visiting Semiconductor Class' where SK Hynix employees visit outstanding learners' schools to provide semiconductor lessons. SK Hynix expects these programs to help students learn the competencies needed to work in the semiconductor industry and plan their careers.
SK Hynix explained that this program is the result of efforts by the SK Hynix University (SKHU) Secretariat. SKHU is an in-house development platform organized within SK Hynix as a university academic system to nurture semiconductor talent. The SKHU Secretariat stated that through Semiconductor hy-School, they plan to cultivate semiconductor talent from the high school level and expand the foundation for the future semiconductor industry.
Jung Deokhwa, TL at SK Hynix, said, "We will continuously communicate with students through various content and plan to improve the program," adding, "We hope that Semiconductor hy-School will help more future semiconductor talents.”
