[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Kolon Mobility Group announced on the 30th that it will officially distribute CAKE, a Swedish pure electric bike brand, as the exclusive importer in Korea. The company aims to diversify its business from a portfolio centered on premium imported cars such as BMW, Audi, Volvo, and Jeep to premium bikes.
CAKE is an electric bike brand that started in Sweden in 2016. It is characterized by the unique simplicity of Nordic design, ultra-lightweight, and high performance, having won over 100 global design awards including Red Dot and iF, recognizing its aesthetic value. The parts are easy to assemble and disassemble, and individual tuning is possible through accessories.
The models introduced domestically will offer a customized lineup for various experiences ranging from daily life to off-road. The three representative models Makka flex, Osa+, and Kalk& will be released first.
With a maximum speed of 90 km/h and a driving range of 111 km (varies by model), these ultra-lightweight, high-performance bikes are expected to provide new enjoyment to domestic consumers.
Each model has differentiated design and performance. The company plans to focus on strengthening its eco-friendly lineup by launching new models such as electric bicycles in the future.
Kolon Mobility Group will continue its active efforts to enhance ESG activities within the mobility sector and provide convenient and diverse mobility experiences to customers, starting with the launch of CAKE.
