[Asia Economy, Reporter Yoo Hyunseok] Hankook Tire & Technology announced on January 30 that its website had won the Grand Prix in the Transportation category of the Digital Media/Service division at the '2022 Awards for New Digital Award (2022 &Awards),' hosted by the Korea Digital Enterprise Association.
The '&Awards' is the largest digital industry awards ceremony in Korea, recognizing outstanding works that have contributed to the digital industry over the past year. It presents awards in a total of 63 categories across two main divisions: Digital Media/Service and Digital Advertising/Campaign. The event is organized by the Korea Digital Enterprise Association and supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Korea Broadcasting Advertising Corporation, and Korea Internet & Security Agency, among others.
In May 2022, Hankook Tire revamped its website under the concept of a 'new innovation platform.' Based on visitor data analysis, the global website was restructured to focus on brand experience, while country-specific websites were redesigned to emphasize sales information. Moving beyond its existing premium brand image, the company now communicates its brand identity-centered on high-tech and innovation-to global customers.
Through this overhaul, which focused on enhancing the digital customer experience by designing a user-centric website, improving systems, strengthening sales support, and creating new brand content, the company received high marks for both convenience and differentiation.
The Hankook Tire global website features content such as the 'ABB FIA Formula E World Championship,' the electric vehicle-specific tire brand 'iON,' and 'Hankook Technoring,' the largest tire testing track in Asia, prominently on its main page.
The site was designed to allow users to experience Hankook Tire's innovative technology. In addition, country-specific websites have enhanced product search functions, making it easier and faster for customers to find tires suitable for their vehicles. Customer convenience has also been improved by providing store information based on user location.
Through its customer support page, the company offers content related to its core business-tires-including service and warranty policies, tire information, and maintenance tips, thereby improving customer access to information. By utilizing its media center to quickly update the latest news, Hankook Tire continues to promote the premium value of its global brand, 'Hankook.'
Furthermore, the website features dedicated pages for ESG and financial status, transparently disclosing corporate information to customers and continuing efforts to enhance value for both customers and shareholders.
Going forward, Hankook Tire plans to continue improving customer convenience and satisfaction by providing a website optimized for the digital environment and user-centric content.
