Supporting Successful Entry into Korean Society
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Office of External Cooperation at Gyeongsang National University held a 'Career and Employment Camp for International Students for the 2022 Academic Year' over two days on the 27th and 28th at the Hadong Vivace Hotel. Twenty-two international students participated in the camp.
This event was organized to help international students at Gyeongsang National University successfully enter Korean society after graduation. It was the first time Gyeongsang National University held a career and employment camp for international students.
The camp covered topics such as ▲Reasons why Korean companies hire foreigners ▲How to write resumes and self-introduction letters ▲Personal color special lecture ▲ID photo shooting for interviews ▲Special lectures by senior international students employed at domestic companies. The special lectures by senior students, who were employed in 2021 and 2022, provided useful information firsthand, attracting great interest.
Kim Gon-seop, Vice President of Research, said, “Through this event, we hope international students will enhance their employment capabilities, gain practical information helpful for employment, and successfully settle in Korean society.”
Currently, 382 international students from 32 countries are enrolled at Gyeongsang National University. To support the study life of international students, Gyeongsang National University operates various programs such as International Students' Day, sports competitions, support for the international student association, Korean cultural experience activities, and employment support.
