[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Flitto is on the rise. It appears that news of overseas companies showing more love calls than domestic ones regarding chatbot conversation data is influencing the stock price.
At 9:26 AM on the 27th, Flitto was trading at 26,800 KRW, up 10.52% from the previous day.
Language data and professional translation service company Flitto announced that the number of conversation data built through its integrated platform has surpassed 500,000 cases per day for the first time. This is the largest volume since Flitto’s founding in 2012. The recent growing interest in artificial intelligence (AI) and the global attention on ChatGPT seem to have had an impact.
Flitto provides multilingual translation and various language-related services through its web and app platforms. It has over 10 million users in 173 countries worldwide. The data that can be built on the platform includes various forms of language data such as text, images, and voice, including multi-turn conversation data for AI chatbot training, which has recently been the focus of the global IT industry.
The language data built on the platform is completed as high-quality data through processes such as collection, inspection, classification, and refinement by Flitto’s own AI engine and system. In particular, it is useful for generating topic-specific conversation data for corporate customer service chatbots. More than 40% of Flitto’s data sales are already generated overseas. Through partnerships with leading global IT companies developing AI chatbots and language AI, continuous growth in the proportion of overseas sales is expected this year as well.
Lee Jungsoo, CEO of Flitto, said, "The rapid rise of ChatGPT has caused a surge in demand for multi-turn conversation data for AI chatbots," adding, "Business inquiries about conversation data to Flitto have been nonstop."
He continued, "We operate an integrated platform with users worldwide and have competitiveness in building language data," adding, "We will further accelerate efforts to strengthen our position in the data industry and expand sales."
