[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Southern Fire Station announced on the 26th that, as the proportion of multicultural family members and foreigners increases, it will guide the attachment of stickers with usage instructions for indoor fire hydrants used during fires in both Korean and foreign languages.

Until now, the usage instructions for indoor fire hydrants, which are most frequently used by building personnel along with fire extinguishers during fires, have mostly been written only in Korean, causing significant inconvenience for foreigners who are not familiar with Korean.

Kim Haeng-mo, Head of the Prevention and Safety Division, said, "Indoor fire hydrants play the most important role in initial fire extinguishing during a fire," and added, "We hope that by attaching stickers with usage instructions in both Korean and foreign languages, anyone can use them easily."
