331 Million KRW Per Vehicle for Hydrogen Car Distribution
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Duyul] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, will support approximately 7 billion KRW this year to supply 200 passenger cars and 1 hydrogen bus.
Since 2020, Yangsan City has been promoting the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle supply project to create a pollution-free, pleasant, and clean air environment and save energy. As of last year, about 6 billion KRW was supported for 179 vehicles to supply hydrogen cars.
Applications can be submitted through the zero-emission vehicle purchase subsidy support system at the dealership where the vehicle is purchased.
The subsidy support target for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles is citizens aged 18 or older who have continuously resided in Yangsan City for at least 30 days before the application date, or corporations and public enterprises, who intend to newly purchase and register a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle domestically.
The application period starts from the announcement date, and the selection of recipients is based on the order of vehicle delivery and registration, regardless of the order of purchase application submission.
The support amount is 33.1 million KRW per vehicle, and the currently supported vehicle model is Hyundai Motor Company's ‘Nexo’. Additional models will be available for confirmation through the zero-emission vehicle purchase subsidy support system.
The Yangsan City hydrogen charging station is currently operating at the Mulgeum Jeungsan Public Garage, and the status of hydrogen charging stations installed nationwide can be checked through the hydrogen charging station location information system.
Other details can be found in the announcement posted on the Yangsan City Hall website, and for more information, inquiries can be made to the Climate and Environment Team of the Climate and Environment Division of Yangsan City.
A Yangsan City official stated, “We hope many citizens will participate in the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle supply project, and we will do our best to create a clean and pleasant air environment.”
