Actress Park Jin-joo is set to take the musical stage.
On the 26th, her agency Andmark announced that Park Jin-joo has been cast as Anna in the musical "Red Book."
The musical "Red Book" is set in 19th century London during the conservative Victorian era. It tells the story of Anna, a woman who wants to live simply as "herself" rather than as a lady, and Brown, a man who only knows how to live as a gentleman. Through each other, they learn the values of understanding and respect. The show will open on March 14 at the Hongik University Daehangno Art Center Grand Theater in Seoul.
Park Jin-joo plays Anna, a candid and progressive woman who endures the hardships of reality with bold imagination and dreams of the future. Despite her cheerful and confident exterior, she harbors deep doubts about being different from others.
Park Jin-joo debuted in the film "Sunny" (2011) and has recently been active in various variety shows such as "King of Mask Singer," "Avatar Singer," and "Hangout with Yoo." Notably, she gained attention for her outstanding vocal skills in the musical film "Hero," which was released on the 21st of last month. By stepping onto the stage, she is determined to expand her career as a multi-entertainer.
