Effective Promotion of Hometown Love Donation Program During Seollal Holiday Period

[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shim Jeong-woo] Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that even during the Lunar New Year holiday, hometown love donations continued, showing warm support for Goheung.

This is the result of Goheung-gun’s large-scale promotion of the Hometown Love Donation System targeting returning residents and tourists visiting Goheung during the Lunar New Year holiday, which led to active participation.

The county judged that this holiday would be a golden opportunity to promote the Hometown Love Donation System, and launched a promotional campaign using all advertising media throughout the county, putting all efforts into raising awareness of the system.

In particular, promotional banners and various materials were placed at major tourist sites expected to attract large crowds during the holiday, such as the Space Launch Observatory and the Buncheong Culture Museum, as well as at multi-use facilities like the bus terminal and Nokdong New Port passenger ferry terminal. Additionally, banners were hung and video advertisements were broadcast on electronic billboards along major roads including Goheung IC, the 4-lane national highway, main roads in towns and townships, and public offices.

Furthermore, at Donggang Meeting Plaza, Goheung-gun, the Nonghyup (National Agricultural Cooperative Federation), and the Young Farmers 4-H Federation jointly conducted a promotional campaign to ensure the Hometown Love Donation System was widely exposed everywhere through comprehensive promotional activities.

A county official stated, “Those who can make hometown love donations to Goheung will mainly be returning residents,” and added, “We hope that active promotion of the Hometown Love Donation System will expand interest and participation among returning residents.”

The Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate to regions other than their registered residential address. Anyone who has lived in Goheung or supports Goheung can make donations to Goheung.
