Mirae Asset Securities to Host Art Tech Seminar for VIP Clients Next Month

[Asia Economy Reporter Son Sunhee] Mirae Asset Securities announced on the 25th that it will hold Art Tech seminars in fields such as art and calligraphy for VIP customers starting next month.

The first Art Tech seminar, scheduled for the 6th of next month, will be held on the first floor of the Mirae Asset Securities WM Gangnam Finance Center. Art Tech refers to an investment method that earns royalties or trading profits through artworks. By consigning to a non-fungible token (NFT) trading platform, additional profits can be obtained through fractional ownership sales, exhibitions via professional galleries, product placement (PPL), image usage, and various sponsorships.

The Art Tech invitational exhibition will begin on the 6th of next month with an exhibition by artist Shin Seonghee, well known as the founder of the Nouage technique, followed by calligrapher Unjae Lee Seungwoo on March 20, and jewelry platform Pax Consulting’s KATALINA SHIN on April 17, showcasing their works. Participating artists will receive support for building related social media (SNS) promotional channels.

Jung Yunseok, Senior Manager of Mirae Asset Securities WM Gangnam Finance Center, said, "The advantage of Art Tech is that unlike real estate, there are no acquisition tax, property tax, or comprehensive real estate tax, and only capital gains tax applies, resulting in a lower tax burden." He added, "Through the seminar, we have prepared an opportunity to introduce the advantages of Art Tech and to present the artists’ worldviews and works through direct meetings with them."
