Released on the 20th, "Jung-E" is a new work by director Yeon Sang-ho, who directed the film "Train to Busan" and the Netflix series "Hellbound." The story depicts people trying to end a war that broke out in a shelter where they migrated after Earth was devastated by climate change by cloning the brain of the legendary mercenary Jung-E to develop the ultimate combat A.I.

The work is also the final project of Kang Soo-yeon, who suddenly passed away in May last year. Kang Soo-yeon played Seo-hyun, the head of the research team who participated in the Jung-E project and could not hide her emotional turmoil while watching Jung-E.

Kim Hyun-joo took on the role of Jung-E, the elite leader of the allied forces who has a daughter. Jung-E is a character who becomes a vegetative state due to an accident during combat and is developed into an A.I. through brain cloning technology. Additionally, Ryu Kyung-soo, who left a strong impression in the director’s previous work "Hellbound," played Sang-hoon, the head of the Chronoid Research Institute leading the project.
