Gangbuk-gu Holds Meeting on the 18th to Provide Detailed Explanation Before Project Implementation
From March, Villa Management Office to Operate in Beon-dong 458~463, 472 Area
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) held a residents' briefing session for the 'Villa Management Office' at Beon 1-dong Community Center on the 18th.
This briefing session was organized to explain detailed information to residents in the pilot area before proceeding with the Villa Management Office project. The event included opening remarks by Mayor Lee Soon-hee and invited guests, a progress report by Kwon Tae-hyung, Head of Housing Division of Gangbuk-gu, project introduction, and a Q&A session.
The 'Villa Management Office' is a project pledged by Mayor Lee Soon-hee to improve the residential environment in Gangbuk-gu, where low-rise residential areas are densely populated. To this end, the district established a four-year basic plan and an implementation plan, and concretized the project through a pledge implementation plan briefing session.
In particular, from October last year, a survey was conducted for about a month targeting residents of multi-family housing to investigate management conditions and inconveniences, and the results were used to set the direction for the project.
Additionally, to provide a legal basis for project implementation, the 'Gangbuk-gu Multi-family Housing Management Ordinance' was revised and enforcement rules were established.
The district plans to officially launch the Villa Management Office project targeting the pilot area in Beon 1-dong starting this March.
The pilot area covers Beon-dong 458~463 and 472. The district selected the pilot area by comprehensively considering housing density, number of households, building aging, and ease of project implementation.
From March, residents of multi-family housing participating in the project will be able to receive support for cleaning, common facility management, safety, and parking through district-employed villa managers.
Mayor Lee Soon-hee of Gangbuk-gu said, “This pilot project is meaningful in creating a standard model for managing small-scale multi-family housing and gradually expanding the management areas. We will gather the valuable opinions of everyone who attended today’s briefing to carry out a substantial project.”
