"Related Controversy Causes Trouble for the President"
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyun] Former People Power Party lawmaker Na Kyung-won said on the 20th, "I deeply apologize to President Yoon Seok-yeol for causing inconvenience due to the controversy over the president's 'true intention'." She apologized for the conflict with the presidential office after mentioning President Yoon's 'true intention' following her dismissal from the Vice Chairperson of the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee and Climate Environment Ambassador positions.
In a statement distributed to the media that afternoon, former lawmaker Na said, "My recent remarks, especially saying that the decision to dismiss me was not the president's true intention, was my fault." She added, "I am sorry for causing concern to party members as well."
She also said, "I will always be with party comrades on the path to a successful Yoon Seok-yeol administration and a People Power Party loved by the people." She listed her position as 'former floor leader.'

Earlier, former lawmaker Na stated on Facebook regarding President Yoon's dismissal decision, "I think it was not the president's true intention." She was heavily attacked by the pro-Yoon faction within the party. The presidential office immediately issued a statement under Chief of Staff Kim Dae-gi's name, directly rebutting Na's mention of the 'president's true intention,' saying, "The dismissal of former lawmaker Na was a decision based on the president's accurate fact-finding."
Na, who is considering running for party leader, is reported to have suspended external activities and taken time to reflect until President Yoon returns on the 21st from his overseas trip. She is expected to announce her stance on running after the Lunar New Year holidays. It is known that she has virtually made up her mind to run.
A representative from former lawmaker Na's side said regarding the background of the apology statement to the president, "There is no change in her position regarding the candidacy."
