[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] ISEcommerce is entering the integrated control market targeting domestic and global markets through 4D dedicated drones.
The company announced that it signed a business agreement with Clover Studio, a company specializing in Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) platforms, on the 18th.
Clover Studio is a company that supplies ‘DROW,’ a web-based 4D ground control platform service that supports autonomous flight of multiple drones simultaneously. Clover Studio’s DROW GCP (Ground Control Platform) service is the world’s first 4D ground control platform technically implemented as a cloud-based platform.
According to the company, drones operating on existing 2D maps show limitations in capturing precise geometric details of buildings. Facilities such as bridges, subways, and tunnels fall into this category. To address this, 3D mapping required for capturing various facilities is necessary, and 4D dedicated drones operating based on this mapping have become a prerequisite.
ISEcommerce plans to target not only the domestic market but also overseas markets through a business agreement with Clover Studio, which possesses the drone integrated control platform (DROW4D) capable of 4-dimensional spatial control and monitoring based on 3D maps, as a proactive response to the related market.
Recently, Clover Studio signed a business agreement with Seoul Metro to implement a precise safety management system for aging structures. Additionally, it has won the CES Innovation Awards for three consecutive years in 2021, 2022, and 2023 at CES 2023 (Consumer Electronics Show) held in Las Vegas, USA.
Through this agreement, the two companies will develop 4D dedicated drones for safety inspections using drones. These 4D dedicated drones are autonomous flying vehicles based on AI (Artificial Intelligence) utilizing precise positioning technology. Safety inspection drones employ non-GPS-based indoor precise positioning technology, 3D precise image processing technology, video analysis technology capable of detecting cracks and damaged areas at millimeter-level precision, and enable continuous information acquisition while utilizing time and space.
A company official stated, “In the future, through the drone business model, we will expand into all areas requiring integrated control such as national land inspection, construction, roads, railroads, subways, real estate management, power plants, public administration, and public institutions,” adding, “We also plan to enter the video surveillance management system market.”
Meanwhile, according to global market research firms such as Transparency Market Research, the domestic market size for video surveillance management systems is expected to reach approximately 4.8 trillion KRW by 2025, and the overseas market size is expected to reach 109 trillion KRW by 2025.
