First, as part of the ‘Comprehensive Lunar New Year Holiday Plan,’ until the 24th, six areas will be addressed: ▲ disaster and safety management ▲ stabilization of daily economy ▲ traffic and transportation ▲ emergency medical treatment ▲ environmental maintenance and prompt handling of civil complaints ▲ and spreading a culture of sharing for marginalized groups.
Additionally, to strengthen various disaster prevention and safety management activities, a total of 179 personnel across five task forces ? the General Control Team, Disaster Situation Team, Environmental Cleaning Team, Traffic Countermeasures Team, and Quarantine Countermeasures Team ? will begin emergency duty. Among them, a quarantine emergency duty team of 45 members has been organized to maintain a state of emergency in response to COVID-19.
Along with this, as a price stabilization measure, the supply status and price trends of essential goods will be monitored continuously, and price guidance and crackdowns will be strengthened.
A traffic countermeasure situation room will also be operated to ensure smooth traffic flow, and an emergency cleaning system will be established and operated during the holiday period to minimize inconvenience to residents. Support projects for low-income vulnerable groups and solitary elderly without family will also be promoted to create a warm Lunar New Year atmosphere.
Gijang-gun has established and is implementing the ‘2023 Lunar New Year Emergency Medical Treatment Plan’ to prevent medical service gaps and minimize inconvenience to residents during the Lunar New Year holiday.
From the 21st to the 24th, a four-day period during the holiday, Gijang-gun Public Health Center will identify and inspect medical institutions and pharmacies that are open, including hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and public health institutions, to ensure smooth medical treatment during the holiday.
Accordingly, the Southeast Regional Radiation Medical Center and Gijang Hospital will operate emergency rooms 24 hours a day to prepare for emergency patients, and a total of 20 hospitals and clinics and 18 pharmacies are scheduled to be open during the holiday period.
Also, the Gijang-gun Public Health Center will operate a COVID-19 screening clinic and a home treatment counseling center. The Gijang-gun Public Health Center screening clinic will operate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
