Changwon City Council passes disciplinary motion to suspend Councilor Kim Mina's attendance for 30 days

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters reporters Lee Seryeong and Song Jonggu] On the 18th, the Changwon City Council in Gyeongnam passed a disciplinary proposal to suspend People Power Party city councilor Kim Mina's attendance for 30 days during the 2nd plenary session of the 121st 1st extraordinary meeting.

Accordingly, Councilor Kim will not be able to attend the city council from the 18th until February 16th for 30 days.

Earlier, in a closed meeting, out of 45 registered councilors, 44 attended and voted, resulting in 20 votes in favor, 20 against, 3 invalid votes, and 1 abstention, thereby rejecting the expulsion disciplinary proposal against Councilor Kim.

Councilor Kim became embroiled in controversy after posting a 'reckless' SNS post regarding the Itaewon tragedy and officially apologized in the city council plenary session on December 13th last year, but has faced calls for resignation from various sectors.
