Korean Air Holds 'Love Rice' Sharing Event

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Korean Air announced on the 18th that it held an event at Gangseo-gu Office to donate 3,000kg of "Love Rice" (300 bags of 10kg rice) for local neighbors. The donated rice will be delivered to social welfare facilities such as facilities for the disabled, welfare centers, and food banks within Gangseo-gu.

The "Love Rice" sponsorship event began in 2004 and is Korean Air's representative social contribution activity that has continued for 20 years this year. Through this, the total rice donated by Korean Air amounts to 95 tons. In particular, by supporting Gyeongbokgung rice, a specialty product of the Gangseo-gu area, it also helps revitalize the local economy.

Meanwhile, Korean Air is actively practicing the value of sharing through various neighbor-helping activities linked with the local community, such as upcycling volunteer work with in-flight blankets, in addition to the Love Rice sponsorship. Going forward, Korean Air plans to continue making efforts to fulfill its corporate social responsibility.
