Yeonggwang-gun Implements 'Seol Holiday Comprehensive Measures' to Minimize Inconvenience for Residents

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kang Jongman) announced on the 18th that it will implement a 'Comprehensive Plan for the Lunar New Year Holiday' for four days from the 21st to the 24th to ensure a comfortable Lunar New Year holiday for returning visitors and residents.

During the Lunar New Year holiday, the county will operate an emergency duty team composed of 64 members/8 teams daily, excluding on-duty personnel, to promptly respond to civil complaints closely related to residents' lives such as price stabilization, traffic, emergency medical care, and water supply.

This Lunar New Year holiday is expected to have severe traffic congestion due to the short duration and the holiday coinciding with the weekend. Therefore, traffic duty will be conducted in congested areas to quickly respond to traffic inconvenience reports and accidents. Pre-education on traffic safety, service measures, and COVID-19 related guidelines will also be provided to transportation company workers.

Additionally, COVID-19 screening clinics (at the public health center, Yeonggwang General Hospital, and Yeonggwang Christian Hospital) will operate during the holiday period. Emergency patient treatment and prevention of infectious disease outbreaks will be prepared by conducting emergency medical care at the public health center and health clinics. On-duty medical institutions (4 locations) and pharmacies (10 locations) will also be in operation.

Furthermore, except for the 22nd (Lunar New Year's Day), regular collection of household waste will be maintained, and a 24-hour emergency water supply situation room will be operated to resolve water supply-related complaints and provide emergency water supply and restoration measures in case of water outages during the holiday period.
