[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Office of Education will publicly recruit 30 members for the 5th term of the Provincial Citizen Auditors from the 17th until February 2nd.

The Provincial Citizen Auditor system of the Office of Education has been implemented since 2015 to strengthen the citizens' function of monitoring educational administration and to enhance the reliability of administrative audits.

According to the Office of Education, the Provincial Citizen Auditors, composed of ordinary citizens, serve as unpaid honorary positions for a two-year term.

They participate in audit processes requested by the Superintendent of Education, make recommendations for correcting systems or practices that induce corruption, report misconduct by public officials, and submit opinions for improving educational administration systems.
