CJ CheilJedang launches 4 new 'Samho Eomuk' products... "Winter delicacies"

CJ CheilJedang announced on the 17th that it has launched four new ‘Samho Eomuk’ products that can be easily cooked at home.

The new products include two types of fish cake soup and two snack varieties, introduced as frozen products with a long shelf life to meet the recent growth trend of the online fish cake market. The two fish cake soups are ‘Katsuo Assorted Fish Cake Soup’ and ‘Kimchi Assorted Fish Cake Soup,’ and the two snacks are ‘Sweet and Spicy Chewy Fish Cake Stir-fry’ and ‘Chewy Fish Cake.’

The fish cake soups contain five types of chewy fish cakes and abundant ingredients, and can be prepared by simply boiling in water for 5 minutes without thawing. The Katsuo Assorted Fish Cake Soup features five kinds of fish cakes with various flavors and textures, including vegetable fish cakes, seafood fish cakes, and tofu balls in katsuo broth, along with stuffed yubu pouches, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, and dried vegetables such as red chili peppers, offering a rich taste experience. The Kimchi Assorted Fish Cake Soup combines colorful five-colored fish cakes such as bite-sized square fish cakes, full-bite balls, and potato chive fish cakes with broth containing green onions and sliced kimchi, delivering a savory and flavorful soup.

The Sweet and Spicy Chewy Fish Cake Stir-fry includes bite-sized chewy fish cakes and thin square fish cakes with tteokbokki sauce included; just add water and boil. The Chewy Fish Cake can be cooked in an air fryer for 6 minutes to achieve a crispy exterior and chewy interior fish cake grill. The new products are initially launched exclusively online, with plans to expand sales channels based on consumer response.
