Lydia Ko (New Zealand) maintained her No. 1 position for the eighth consecutive week in the women's golf world rankings released in the third week of 2023.

On the 16th (local time), Lydia Ko recorded 7.66 ranking points to hold the top spot in the Rolex Women's Golf World Rankings. Since reclaiming the No. 1 position for the first time in 5 years and 5 months in the world rankings released on November 28 last year, she has maintained the lead for eight consecutive weeks.

There were also ranking changes among the top players ahead of the new season opener of the U.S. Women's Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour. Minjee Lee (Australia) rose one spot to 3rd place with 6.17 ranking points. Atthaya Thitikul (Thailand) dropped one spot to 4th place with 6.09 ranking points.

Other than these, there were no significant ranking changes. Ko Jin-young held her 5th place with 5.77 ranking points, the highest among domestic players, same as the previous week. Jeon In-ji and Kim Hyo-joo also maintained their 8th and 9th places respectively.

However, among domestic players, Park Min-ji, the highest-ranked 'domestic-based' player, dropped one spot to 15th with 3.35 ranking points. Lin Xiyu (China) narrowly surpassed Park Min-ji in total points and rose one spot to 14th place.
