60,000 KRW Support Per Person for New County Resident Hires
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is promoting the ‘2023 Hamyang-gun Small and Medium Enterprises and Small Business Employment Incentive Support Project’ as a special policy for job creation and is recruiting participating companies until February 3.
The county has allocated a budget of 240 million KRW to promote the employment incentive support project, expecting to create up to 40 jobs through support for small and medium enterprises and small business owners.
This project supports small and medium enterprises and small business owners with business sites in Hamyang-gun who employ two or more workers enrolled in employment insurance. After being selected for the employment incentive support project, if they newly hire county residents, they will receive 600,000 KRW per person per month, with support available for up to 10 months.
This year, in principle, one person per company will be supported so that 40 companies can benefit, which is more than last year. To encourage population inflow, additional points will be given to companies that newly hire employees with addresses outside the county, making it advantageous for selection. If the number of applicants is insufficient, companies that newly hire employees with addresses outside the county will be supported for one additional person, up to a total of two people.
A county official said, “This project aims to resolve employment contraction of local companies struggling due to rapid price and interest rate increases and economic recession, and to promote job creation for job-seeking county residents. We hope many small and medium enterprises and small business owners in the county will participate.”
