Muan County Council Conducts Market Environmental Cleanup Activities on the 5th

Participating in Revitalizing Commercial Districts Through Traditional Market Shopping

[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] The Muan County Council (Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun) held a Lunar New Year environment cleanup activity and traditional market shopping event at the Ilro 5-day Market on the 16th.

According to the County Council, Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun, along with council members and about 40 council staff, worked hard collecting trash to provide a clean and tidy environment for visitors and residents of the Ilro 5-day Market in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

In particular, to revitalize the local economy and provide practical support to merchants struggling due to the consumption downturn, they participated in saving the local commercial district through market shopping.

Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun said, “We conducted the environment cleanup activity to offer a clean hometown scenery to returning visitors during the Lunar New Year holiday,” and added, “I hope everyone spends a happy and warm holiday with their families.”

He also added, “I hope the Lunar New Year shopping event will bring small comfort and help to merchants facing difficulties due to the consumption downturn.”
