Jeju Air Launches Golf Membership... "Additional Baggage Fees Waived"

Jeju Air’s ‘Golf Membership’ service is a membership system where customers pre-purchase the cost of checking in golf equipment such as golf caddy bags and Boston bags on an annual basis, allowing them to check in golf equipment weighing up to 25kg as checked baggage without any limit on the number of times. The membership fee is 129,000 KRW per year, and the validity period is one year from the day after purchase.

Jeju Air charges additional fees ranging from 2,000 KRW to 19,200 KRW per kilogram if the baggage allowance provided free of charge according to the purchased ticket is exceeded when checking in baggage.

For example, if you purchase a ‘FLY BAG’ ticket for the popular golf travel destination Clark, Philippines, and bring 25kg of golf equipment, the cost for the 10kg of excess baggage would be 320,000 KRW round-trip. However, if you join Jeju Air’s Golf Membership, you can save 191,000 KRW (about 60% discount) with a flat fee of 129,000 KRW by using it just once. After joining, you can use it unlimited times for one year starting the day after registration.

Meanwhile, in addition to waiving additional baggage fees, Jeju Air Golf Membership also provides additional benefits such as priority baggage claim service, SHOW GOLF driving range (Gimpo Airport branch) tee vouchers, and four types of discount coupons for the private transportation service MOVV.
