A Total of 163 Businesses Receive Digital Infrastructure Support
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, will start accepting applications from the 16th for the ‘2023 Small Business Small-scale Management Environment Improvement Project’ and the new ‘Digital Infrastructure Support Project’.
The Management Environment Improvement Project supports areas such as outdoor signboard replacement, interior support, and restroom improvements, while the Digital Infrastructure Support Project supports digital technology fields such as serving robots, smart orders, kiosks, and table orders.
The support scale is up to 2 million KRW within 70% of the supply price per company. Any amount exceeding the limit and VAT must be borne by the business owner, and duplicate applications for the two projects are not allowed. This year, the support target scale is 140 locations for the Management Environment Improvement Project and 23 locations for the Digital Infrastructure Support Project.
The eligibility requirement is that small business owners who have maintained business operations for more than six months based on business registration at a business site within the jurisdiction can apply. Applications for the Management Environment Improvement Project are accepted from the 16th to February 28th, and for the Digital Infrastructure Support Project from the 16th to February 22nd, by referring to the Jinju City Hall website announcement and submitting to the Job and Economy Division.
Last year, the city supported 608 locations through the Small Business Management Environment Improvement Project, and plans to secure additional budgets for support if there are many applications this year as well.
A city official said, “Small business owners’ difficulties may have increased due to COVID-19 and the recent economic downturn,” adding, “We hope this project will serve as a catalyst to alleviate management difficulties.”
