[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The heads of Shinhan Bank’s Seoul City Hall Financial Center have been consecutively promoted, drawing attention.
Shinhan Bank’s Seoul City Hall Financial Center is the representative bank branch entrusted with managing nearly 50 trillion won of Seoul’s city treasury.
In 2018, Shinhan Bank challenged the Seoul city treasury bid, defeating the bank that had managed the city treasury for 100 years, and took charge of the city treasury, which was worth over 40 trillion won at the time.
Subsequently, Shinhan Bank made another attempt in 2022 and succeeded in renewing its term. As a result, two former heads of the City Hall Financial Center were promoted to executive-level headquarters chiefs in the year-end personnel reshuffle last year.
Center heads Yoo Ju-seon and Hwang Jae-pil were consecutively promoted to headquarters chiefs. Former Center Head Yoo Ju-seon was promoted to Head of Institutional Sales Division 1, and former Center Head Hwang Jae-pil was promoted to Head of Incheon Institutional Division.
These two former center heads are believed to have earned the honor of promotion by further enhancing the foundation laid by the inaugural center head, Kim Ho-dae.
Inaugural Center Head Kim Ho-dae was promoted last year to Head of the Institutional Division and has shown achievements in securing the city treasury for Seoul’s autonomous districts, brightening future prospects.
Center Head Jeong Moon-ho, who took office this January, is known to be working hard to continue the legacy of his predecessors’ achievements.
Meanwhile, Lee Dong-seop, former branch manager of Shinhan Bank at Gangbuk District Office who succeeded in maintaining his position, was promoted to General Affairs Department Head at the headquarters.
