Busan Gijang-gun Donates 2 Million Won in Red Cross Special Membership Fees

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] On the 11th, Gijang-gun, Busan, delivered a special Red Cross membership fee of 2 million won to the Busan branch of the Korean Red Cross.


The special membership fee delivery ceremony was held with the attendance of Gijang-gun Governor Jeong Jong-bok, Gijang-gun Council member Park Hong-bok, Chairman Seo Jeong-ui of the Busan branch of the Korean Red Cross, Chairman Park Myeong-suk of the Gijang-gun District Council, and other volunteer society members.

Busan Gijang-gun Donates 2 Million Won in Red Cross Special Membership Fees Jung Jong-bok, the head of Gijang County, is delivering a special Red Cross membership fee of 2 million won in 2023.

This special donation was prepared to spread a culture of sharing and encourage more residents to participate in Red Cross fundraising, and the delivered membership fees will be used for various projects for the local community, such as disaster relief activities and social service.


Governor Jeong Jong-bok of Gijang-gun said, “I appreciate the efforts of the Red Cross and volunteers who are working on humanitarian activities for marginalized neighbors amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” and added, “I am glad to participate in this meaningful work and hope it helps raise social interest and spread a culture of donation.”
