The Early Startup Camp was attended by a total of about 60 people, including 30 students from Mokpo National University, 15 from Mokpo Maritime University, and 15 university and education operation officials.
This Early Startup Camp was conducted targeting students who had no knowledge of startups to break down fears about entrepreneurship and the separated thinking between employment and startups. It provided indirect startup-related experiences and opportunities such as △ Startup Complaint Talk Show △ Startup Talk Concert △ Experiences of senior entrepreneurs in fields like IT.
In particular, the virtual company creation session, where participants established companies based solely on their imagination without any restrictions and introduced them by team after attracting investments, helped students understand the necessity of failure for entrepreneurs through lectures on rapid failure and learning in startups.
A Mokpo National University official said, “This Early Startup Camp conducted a startup MRI diagnosis for students who had no knowledge of startups, provided information on startup trends and areas of interest, and had the effect of somewhat alleviating students’ fears about entrepreneurship,” adding, “Participants in this camp will receive additional points if they apply for the startup clubs scheduled to be recruited next month.”
The Mokpo National University LINC 3.0 Project Group operates and supports various curricular and extracurricular programs related to startups, focusing on ‘digital startups,’ including support for startup clubs, operation of startup curricular and extracurricular courses, startup incubating support, and startup mini-clusters.
In particular, next month, they plan to hold the 4th Regional Startup Support Organizations Council and the Startup Mini-Cluster & Startup Supporters Seminar.
