Gyeongbuk Cheongsong-gun Supports Up to 1 Million Won in Wages for Hiring Local Youth

Gyeongbuk Cheongsong-gun Supports Up to 1 Million Won in Wages for Hiring Local Youth Cheongsong County Office.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is conducting an incentive project that supports part of the wages for companies employing local youth.

Cheongsong-gun (Governor Yoon Kyung-hee) announced on the 12th that it will implement the 2023 Local Talent Employment Incentive Support Project, which provides partial wage support to businesses that hire local youth as regular employees.

Application method: Businesses with three or more regular employees enrolled in employment insurance that newly hire regular employees aged 19 to 45 residing in Cheongsong-gun must apply to the Happiness Job Team of the Planning and Audit Office at the county office by the 15th of the following month.

Support details: If the hired regular employee is maintained for six months, the business will receive 50% of the monthly wage (up to 10 million KRW) for 12 months, with a maximum of two employees supported per business annually. However, businesses operated with subsidies, consumer and entertainment businesses, public institutions, and workplaces with regular wage arrears are excluded.

This project reduces the labor cost burden for businesses and provides stable jobs for youth. It aims to revitalize the local socio-economy by promoting social integration and encouraging youth to settle in the region.

Governor Yoon Kyung-hee of Cheongsong-gun said, “We will strive to create an environment where youth can return and make Cheongsong vibrant,” and added, “We will actively support the continuous creation of good jobs.”
