Daesung Energy Donates 150 Million Won to Help Neighbors... "We Will Overcome Difficulties Together with Citizens" Daesung Energy Headquarters.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-sun] Daesung Energy donated 150 million KRW in neighborly love funds on the 12th at Daegu City Hall, attended by Hong Joon-pyo, Mayor of Daegu, Yoon Hong-sik, CEO of Daesung Energy, and Kim Soo-hak, Chairman of the Daegu Community Chest of Korea, among other officials.

The donated funds will be used for energy welfare projects to help vulnerable energy groups such as youth transitioning out of protective care, local elderly living alone, child-headed households, and residents of small rooms to have a warm winter.

Yoon Hong-sik, CEO of Daesung Energy, said, “It seems that vulnerable groups in the region have been particularly struggling due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation and economic downturn over the past three years. As a hometown company that has received much love from citizens, we will be a company that stands with the local community during difficult times.”

Daesung Energy practices ESG management through various sharing activities for marginalized groups in the region, including monthly matching grant sponsorships for grandparent-grandchild families, winter briquette sharing of love, kimchi sharing sponsorship and volunteer activities, and support for local welfare organizations.
