[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Last year, the subway station where Hyundai Card users most frequently boarded and alighted was 'Gangnam Station.' Additionally, the most frequent payment platforms were Coupang, Naver Pay, and Baedal Minjok (Woowa Brothers).


On the 12th, Hyundai Card revealed this status through the 'Annual Statement 2022' report, which analyzed members' payment data from last year. According to the report, the subway station with the highest number of users last year was Gangnam Station, and the bus stop was 'Guro Digital Complex.' The average annual usage time was 24 hours for the subway and 17 hours for the bus.


Hyundai Card divided the day into seven time slots and analyzed the top three payment places most used by members during each time slot. The analysis showed that the major payment platforms with the highest number of users were Coupang, Naver Pay, and Woowa Brothers.

They also identified the average payment amount per person in five sectors likely most affected during the three years of the COVID-19 pandemic: 'online payments,' 'food delivery,' 'streaming,' 'airline ticket usage,' and 'accommodation usage.' The survey results showed that online shopping and delivery saw a sharp increase from 2020 to 2021 but slowed down in 2022. The per-person payment amount in the airline sector surged last year. Payments for streaming services for online content consumption such as videos and music steadily increased.


The 'Annual Statement 2022' is available to any member who receives the statement through the Hyundai Card application (app). It can be viewed throughout this year, and Story Cards can be shared on social networking services (SNS) or saved as images. Customers using the 'My Assets' service within the Hyundai Card app can additionally receive a comprehensive asset analysis report that includes usage history from linked other financial institutions.
