Lotte Department Store Launches Full Sales of Seollal Gift Sets... 'Eco-Friendly' Products and Packaging

Increase in Hanwoo Grade and Cheong Fruit Sweetness Levels

Lotte Department Store has strengthened its premium products and eco-friendly content in this year's Lunar New Year gift set main sales.

They have further improved quality by upgrading the grade of Korean beef and the sweetness of fruits, as well as expanding the introduction of certified seafood. In particular, considering that 70% of all Korean beef gift sets sold last year were of grade 1+ or higher, the number of items was increased by more than 40%. Representative products include the Prestige No.9 Special Gift, Designated Farm Premium Mixed Gift, Prestige Apple Mango, Hallabong, Apple, Pear Gift, and Jangsuchun Antibiotic-Free Eel Gift. Wines are curated directly by Lotte Department Store’s professional sommeliers and presented at the industry's highest level.

Efforts were made to be eco-friendly from the products to the packaging. Lotte Department Store is the first in the industry to sell a ‘Low-Carbon Korean Beef Gift Set’ that emits 65% less carbon than regular Korean beef. As an eco-friendly product, it is provided in a cooling bag made from recycled materials. You can also find eco-friendly gift sets with packaging that uses paper pulp instead of plastic or minimizes the use of auxiliary materials.
