[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] On Thursday the 12th, the sky across the country will be occasionally cloudy, gradually becoming overcast from the afternoon, with rain expected.


The rain will begin in the afternoon in the Jeonnam region and Jeju Island, expanding nationwide by night except for the Yeongdong area of Gangwon Province.


Expected precipitation amounts are 30?80 mm near Jeju Island (excluding the northern coast), the eastern southern coast of Jeonnam, the southern coast of Gyeongnam, and around Jirisan; 20?60 mm in the Jeonnam region (excluding the eastern southern coast and Jirisan) and the northern coast of Jeju Island; and 5?40 mm in the central region, Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk region, and the five western islands (Seohae 5-do).


Especially in areas where rain falls, gusts of wind along with thunder and lightning are expected, so caution is advised to prevent maritime safety accidents.


As of 7 a.m. on this day, temperatures are Seoul -0.5°C, Incheon 1.2°C, Suwon -3.8°C, Chuncheon -6.8°C, Gangneung 6.1°C, Cheongju -1.5°C, Daejeon -3.4°C, Jeonju 0.5°C, Gwangju 1.0°C, Jeju 8.0°C, Daegu -2.0°C, Busan 6.6°C, Ulsan 4.2°C, Changwon 2.5°C, etc.


The daytime high temperature will be between 9 and 17°C, higher than the average for this time of year.


Fine dust concentration is expected to be 'bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area and 'good' to 'moderate' in other regions.


Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungcheong region, and Jeonbuk are expected to temporarily reach 'bad' levels in the morning.


Sea waves will be 0.5?1.5 m in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5?2.0 m in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5?1.5 m in the South Sea coastal waters.


Wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) are predicted to be 0.5?2.0 m in the East Sea and 0.5?2.5 m in the West Sea and South Sea.
