Adolescents from Gijang-gun and Muju-gun are participating in exchange training activities such as skiing and sledding experiences.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan's Gijang County (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) announced that 70 youths from Gijang and Muju participated in youth exchange activities from the 10th to the 12th at Muju Firefly Youth Training Center, Muju Resort, and Taekwondowon.
Since establishing a sisterhood relationship in 1996, Gijang County in Busan and Muju County in Jeonbuk have been continuously engaging in exchange and cooperation activities in various fields such as youth exchange, agricultural and livestock products, and cultural tourism.
The youth exchange program between Gijang and Muju, which began in 1999 and is now in its 42nd year, was created with the purpose of providing youths growing up in completely different environments?coastal and mountainous regions?with diverse experiential opportunities, and has maintained a strong friendship to this day.
In this youth exchange training activity between Gijang and Muju, youths from both counties participated in experiences such as skiing, sledding, tours of Taekwondowon, and visits to Bandi Land, serving as an opportunity to further strengthen the friendship between the regions.
The Director of Education and Youth Affairs of Gijang County said, "The youth exchange activities between Gijang and Muju, which have continued for over 40 sessions, are a significant topic and a source of pride for the region. Through various experiential programs, we hope the youths build friendships with their peers and become young people who can engrave grand aspirations for the future in their hearts while gazing at the pristine night sky and stars of Muju."
