Lotte Mart Lunar New Year Seasonal Products Event... Up to 50% Discount

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Lotte Mart announced on the 12th that it will hold a discount event of up to 50% off on Lunar New Year seasonal products until the 18th to stabilize prices.

This event was planned focusing on seasonal products such as Korean beef (Hanwoo), yellow croaker, and pancake mix, which were highly sold during the last Lunar New Year holiday period. Additional discount benefits from the Agricultural and Fishery Discount Campaign, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, will also be provided.

Lotte Mart, in cooperation with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, procures government-stocked frozen hairtail and yellow croaker to sell price-stabilized Jeju hairtail in extra-large and large sizes at 8,500 KRW and 3,700 KRW respectively, and price-stabilized yellow croaker at 1,900 KRW. Popular holiday seafood products are offered at prices up to 50% cheaper.

Beef, an essential ingredient for dishes such as rice cake soup (tteokguk), beef jeon, and skewers (sanjeok), is offered at discounted prices for L.Point members. Representative products include a 30% discount on all Marble Nine Hanwoo items, 20% off first-grade Hanwoo bulgogi and soup cuts, and 30% off Australian clean Wagyu bulgogi and soup cuts. Harim native chicken is offered with a 30% price discount plus an additional 20% agricultural discount.

A Lotte Mart official said, “Under the broad framework of the government’s livelihood stabilization measures, we planned this event to lower the prices of holiday shopping baskets felt by customers,” adding, “We hope this event will reduce the burden of holiday preparations and allow families to enjoy a pleasant Lunar New Year holiday.”
