On that day, Namyeongyang Nonghyup donated a total of 4 million won, including 3 million won in relief funds and 1 million won collected from the sincerity of its members and executives.
Park Myeongsul, the head of the cooperative who attended the donation ceremony, said, "Although it is a small contribution, I hope it will help marginalized neighbors who are recovering their livelihoods after overcoming COVID-19," and added, "We will continue to take the lead as a financial institution that shares warmth and practices together with the local neighbors in need."
County Governor Oh Dochang said, "I deeply appreciate the warm hands extended to the marginalized groups in the region who are enduring a difficult winter due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and I will do my best to help them overcome their livelihoods."
The donated funds will be delivered to neighbors in need within the county through the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea.
