[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] On the 9th, the Gwangju Northern Fire Station announced a request to expand the installation of safety facilities to prevent fires in lodging facilities such as recreational forests and campgrounds.

In camping and campgrounds, it is necessary to expand the installation of safety facilities to reduce damage that may occur from carbon monoxide poisoning accidents caused by careless use of heating, electrical, and cooking facilities, and special attention from related personnel and citizens using these facilities is required.

The main measures include ▲installing standalone alarm-type detectors and fire extinguishers in each designated room ▲installing gas detectors around gas combustion appliances ▲installing carbon monoxide detectors around boiler rooms and inside tents.

Ju Young-cheol, head of the Prevention and Safety Division, stated, “To prevent winter fires and safety accidents, please comply with safety rules, expand the installation of fire and gas safety facilities, and strictly follow safety regulations.”
