[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam will issue 15 billion KRW worth of Nubijeon on the 16th to support citizens struggling with high inflation and high interest rates.

This issuance consists of 10 billion KRW in paper form and 5 billion KRW in mobile form, totaling 15 billion KRW. The individual discount purchase limit is 200,000 KRW each for paper and mobile, with a discount rate of 10%.

The paper version can be purchased at 247 sales agencies (Gyeongnam Bank, Nonghyup, Saemaeul Geumgo, Shinhyup), and the mobile version can be purchased from 9 a.m. via 17 apps including the Nubijeon app, Bipple Zero Pay, Gyeongnam Bank mobile banking, and All One Bank (Nonghyup). The discounted sales will automatically end once the supply is exhausted.

This reflects the reduced national budget allocation, which was set at about half of last year's government budget for local currency support. The discount rate will be reviewed in the future depending on the amount of national subsidy.
