Pohang City Anticipates Improvement of 'Citizen-Centered Public Transportation Service' Through Lively Citizen Voices ‘Public Transportation Citizen Monitoring Team’ Recruitment Poster.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Pohang City is recruiting a 'Public Transportation Citizen Monitoring Group' from the 9th to the 20th to improve satisfaction and service of public transportation usage.


The eligibility requirement is citizens who have resided in Pohang City for more than one month as of the application date and use public transportation at least once a week and five times a month. The plan is to recruit 100 citizens.


Applications can be made through the Pohang City website and mobile, and considering that evaluations will be conducted online and via mobile, citizens proficient with smart devices will be given preferential selection.


The activity period is 10 months from February to November this year, and evaluations will be conducted on seven items in three areas: operation status, friendliness, and vehicle management.


Those who meet the activity criteria (at least once a week, five times a month, submitting evaluations for three consecutive months) will receive a fixed activity allowance, and up to 10 hours of volunteer time per month will be provided as an incentive depending on the activity days.


Jeong Jeongdeuk, head of the Public Transportation Division, said, "Through the operation of the citizen monitoring group that can communicate with Pohang citizens, we expect to hear vivid voices about the public transportation service that citizens feel," and added, "Based on the results of future activities, we will work to increase satisfaction with public transportation usage."
