[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Ko Byung-il, the newly appointed president of Gwangju Bank, visited local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as his first step to listen to their difficulties.
President Ko visited Han Young PNS Co., Ltd. located in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, toured the business site, and through meetings, assessed the situation of SMEs amid the regional economic downturn.
In the meeting, he said, "I believe that leading the revitalization of the local economy through mutual growth with regional companies is the mission of a representative local bank. We will do our best to devise ways to provide timely and practical financial support necessary for local SMEs and small business owners so that we can overcome the current crisis together."
