[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwi-yeol] Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Son Byeong-bok) saved 1.86 billion KRW in budget last year in the fields of construction, service contracts, and goods procurement.
Uljin-gun announced on the 3rd that it conducted its own cost review on a total of 90 cases amounting to 48.15 billion KRW, saving 1.86 billion KRW, which is 3.88% of the total.
By sector, it saved 1.26 billion KRW in 60 construction cases, 70 million KRW in 18 service contract cases, and 530 million KRW in 12 goods procurement cases.
Compared to 2021, the number of reviews decreased by about 22%, but the amount saved increased by about 47%. Over the past five years, the average review performance was 114 cases worth 53 billion KRW, saving 1.18 billion KRW, showing a saving rate of 2.23%.
Uljin-gun’s contract cost review targets projects with comprehensive construction costs over 300 million KRW, specialized construction over 200 million KRW, service contracts over 70 million KRW, and goods procurement over 20 million KRW.
Son Byeong-bok, Governor of Uljin-gun, said, “We will continuously share cost-saving cases through contract cost reviews to revitalize the local economy while ensuring sound management.”
