Starting New Year's Work with a Kickoff Ceremony

The ceremony proceeded in the order of a pre-ceremony performance, New Year's joint greetings, a pledge to practice integrity for realizing a clean Damyang, and Governor Lee Byeongno's New Year's address.

In his New Year's address, Governor Lee first expressed gratitude to the residents for their support and cooperation in county administration over the past year, and wished for a happy new year in which their hopes would be fulfilled.

He continued by stating that this year marks the practical first year of the 8th popularly elected term. Despite uncertain domestic and international conditions such as the continued spread of COVID-19 and the Ukraine situation, he urged thorough preparation with the awareness that crisis is opportunity, so that the creation of a "self-reliant economic city where everyone is happy" can become a reality.

In particular, he emphasized that "the integrity of public officials cannot be overemphasized," stressing the establishment of an honest public official image to implement administration trusted by the residents.

Governor Lee Byeongno said, "With a firm belief in newly transforming Damyang's future, I will surely realize a new Damyang together with the residents," and asked for interest and cooperation so that all residents can unite as one heart and record a new history of Damyang's prosperity.
