Gwangju Seo-gu Holds Opening Ceremony... Emphasizing Innovation and Change for a New Era

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim I-gang) announced that it held a kick-off ceremony marking the start of district administration work for 2023 on the 2nd at Deulbul Hall on the 2nd floor of Seo-gu Office.

The ceremony proceeded in the order of awarding the Gwangju Seo-gu MVP civil servants, watching a video containing New Year's wishes from employees born in the Year of the Rabbit, and New Year's greetings from District Mayor Kim I-gang.

District Mayor Kim I-gang said, "I hope 2023 will be a year in which each employee achieves all the dreams they hold in their hearts," and added, "I will also become a 'district mayor by your side' who works passionately and thinks intensely on the field."

He continued, "I will make Seo-gu Office a lively workplace where employees rest properly when resting and work properly when working," and added, "We will provide various opportunities to cultivate and expand employees' thoughts and capacities through flexible working hours, focused work systems, diverse training, and benchmarking advanced overseas cases."

Furthermore, he said, "When civil servants change, residents' lives change, and Seo-gu changes," and "If civil servants work joyfully and enthusiastically, that energy will directly lead to improved quality of administrative services and enhanced resident convenience."

He emphasized, "Let us break away from existing customs and old habits, open a new era of Seo-gu vigorously with a change of mindset, confidence that does not fear innovation and change, and the power of collective intelligence."

After the ceremony, Mayor Kim served rice cake soup to employees at the in-house cafeteria, wishing for their health and happiness.
