Professor Juwon Sik of Gyeongnam Jeongbo University Receives Ministry of Education Award for 'University Quarantine' Professor Juwon Sik, Gyeongnam College of Information & Technology.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Professor Joo Won-sik of the Department of Police Security Administration at Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) received a commendation from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education for his efforts in managing COVID-19 prevention at universities.


Over the past two years, Professor Joo served as the president of the National Association of Student Affairs Directors, contributing to infection prevention and containment by establishing and disseminating COVID-19 response manuals at the forefront of university quarantine efforts. He was especially recognized for planning and leading psychological stabilization programs for students.


Professor Joo expressed his gratitude, saying, “I would like to thank everyone who worked hard on the front lines of university quarantine and the dedicated staff of Gyeongnam Information University, and I dedicate this honor to their efforts.”


Professor Joo has served as a member of the Ministry of Education’s Student Loan Support System Review Committee and the COVID-19 Recovery Promotion Task Force. Currently, he is the director of the Lifelong Education Center at Gyeongnam Information University and the chairperson of the 60th Anniversary Preparation Committee. Externally, he is active as the vice president of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration, a columnist for the Korea University Newspaper, and a human rights management committee member at the Busan Women and Family Development Institute.
