The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight on this day, 63,104 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed, bringing the cumulative total to 29,059,273.
The number of new cases decreased by 2,103 compared to the previous day (65,207) and by 3,107 compared to a week ago on the 24th (66,211). This marks the fourth consecutive day of a week-on-week decline since the 28th.
From the 25th to this day, the daily new cases for the week were 58,448 → 25,545 → 87,596 → 87,517 → 71,427 → 65,207 → 63,104. The average daily number of cases during this period was 65,549.
Among the new cases reported today, 67 were imported cases. Of these, 24 were arrivals from China, accounting for 35.8%. Domestic community transmission cases numbered 63,037.

The number of critically ill patients was 557, down by 5 from the previous day (562). The number of deaths reported the previous day was 61, a decrease of 7 from the day before (68). The cumulative death toll reached 32,156, with a fatality rate of 0.11%.
