'Open Warehouse Store' Policy Maintained
Introduction of TR Cash, Points Usable Like Cash
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Traders Wholesale Club announced that it will grandly launch the 'Traders Club' membership on January 1. It explained that it added exclusive benefits for membership members to the 'open warehouse-style store' where anyone can freely visit and shop.
On October 4 last year, Traders changed its company name and launched the paid membership 'Traders Club.' With early bird subscription promotions and club member-exclusive benefit products, it attracted 560,000 subscribers.
Traders completed the application of the new brand by replacing the signboards of all stores and renewing in-store notices, preparing for a fresh start in 2023. From this day, Traders will introduce its own reward points called 'TR Cash' to enhance customer benefits.
TR Cash is a reward program that accumulates according to the shopping amount at Traders stores and can be used like cash at Traders stores. From January 1, Standard members will accumulate 1% of the payment amount, Premium members will accumulate 2% of the payment amount plus an additional 2% on T Standard products.
TR Cash usage is available after renewing the Traders Club membership. Customers who join on January 1 can accumulate TR Cash this year and use it like cash starting from January 1 next year.
Traders announced that starting from this grand launch, it will focus on product innovation and competitiveness centered on 'Big Wave Items.' This month, there are about 40 Wave Items. Going forward, Traders plans to regularly introduce about 10 Big Wave Items every month.
The representative Big Wave Items to be introduced in January include 'Sliced Red Sea Bream for Sashimi,' 'Seasoned King Galbi Jjim,' 'Yuksuhanal Gomtang,' 'Rinex Strong Kitchen Towel,' and 'Dolce Gusto Genio S Starbucks Bundle Pack.' Among these, the Sliced Red Sea Bream for Sashimi was prepared in advance for about four months at a dedicated Traders aquaculture farm for the January launch. From October to December last year (October 4 to December 28), the 30 Big Wave Items introduced achieved cumulative sales of 10 billion KRW.
From January 1 to 9, a special discount event on home appliances will be held to celebrate the grand launch of the membership. When paying for Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and Winia large home appliance event products with a Samsung Card, customers will receive up to 1 million KRW discount benefits, and simultaneous purchase discounts for two items will also be offered.
